I just left this terrible place where the staff rolls their eyes on the issue of promotions !!! This horror simply had to photograph the facade and show it to your staff, and my wife went to another establishment.?
We frequent both the Union Station and Eaton Ctr locations. Sometimes, at either, there can be a decent sized line; but butterhorns are always worth the wait! I can't get enough of their delicious pastries plus there are many gluten free options.
MoreMy manager has bought a few things for the office a couple of times so I've tried a couple cookies before. I don't have a sweet tooth so I found the cookies too sweet for me. I'm sure for other people it'll be the right sweetness. After passing by numerous times a purchase felt necessary. I purchased a Høj Snegl med Crème (High Snail with Custard). It's similar to a cinnamon roll but with flaky pastry and custard in the centre with a drizzle of chocolate on top. There was a hint of cinnamon but not quite enough for my tastes.
MoreMmm... Hoj snegl. The Danish Pastry House smells delicious, and the baked goods taste even better. There are many shops to choose from in Union Station. This one is your best bet for a decadent dessert. Bonus: the employees don’t judge you for mispronouncing your order. Tak.
MoreI have been here twice now and I feel as though the pastries are a hit or miss. It may just be personal preference, but the pastries that are described as being filled tend to have little to no filling. I have seen some new items, so I am interested in trying them. However, on one occasion I was overcharged. They charged me for a Hoj Snegl when in fact I did not order one and did not receive one. My only regret was not checking my receipt prior to leaving. I tried contacting the company, but was ignored and unfortunately was not going to be in the area for awhile. With this said, I am quite resistant to give this establishment my business.
MoreA bit on the sweet side...but it is so good...
In the basement of Union Station. I like them. Apple cinnamon cake is new. Grab them before you go to work as there might be none after work. Buy any coffee for a free rum ball.
MoreTaste is good . They have spoon at their store and I don’t know why ?? Do you use spoon to eat cakes or drink coffee ? Surprisingly, they don’t have knife to cut your pastry .Also I ordered latte and I paid for it and that gave me tea instead . When I asked they smiled and said noooo you ordered tea :|
MoreHog snegl and gâteau Marcel were amazing, especially the cake because it is gluten free. Very reasonable prices.
MoreQuaint and cozy pastry shop, with original offerings and tasty creations. The service is prompt and accurate. One of the two original places in Toronto where you can find authentic and delicious products, not overly sweet.
MoreIf you want delicious pastries and croissants this is the place. We had the galette, the chocolate croissant and the cheese croissant which was my favorite
MoreStill open. Still the best for croissant. Highly recommend.
Authentic Danish pastries and baked goods are available here. The highlight in this store compared to the other Danish Pastry House stores such as that of Oakville, is The Copenhagen Breakfast: breakfast pastry with coffee at a very reasonable price. The soft pastries are melting in the mouth.
MoreDiscovered this place by accident as I was running to the GO Train. Saw a line-up and decided to try it. Got a choco-croissant and knew I had to go back the next time I was in the area.On the second day, I got the raspberry jam-filled croissant, and an apple flakey thing. Both very good.I did not like the chocolate covered cone looking thing that just had marshmallow inside. Too sweet and nothing special. Will definitely go back and try their Viking Slice, custard pastries and pretty much everything else. The prices are very reasonable too. I can either spend $2-3 for a croissant elsewhere that's just "meh" or come here and get a really good one.
MoreAmazing pastries and cakes. 🤤
I'm not an expert in specialty pastry spots but this place is incredible. Unique pastries with a good coffee selection and reasonable prices. I highly recommend it!
MoreI'm not really a big fan of pastries. Danish pastry house is worth visiting for its crispy, fresh and tasty but not too sweet pastries. Really worth it!!! I drop by here whenever I m around union station. I love the spandauers!!
MoreLarge portions for reasonable prices in a good location at Union Station. Lots of flakey crusts with chocolate frosting on top. The cinnamon loaf for just $5.50 is big enough to share with friends. Bit cramped inside.
Morepastry the size of a postage stamp. I purchase a piece of strudel for about $2.00 it was an 8th of the strip. Yes if u get a bun or an whole piece of cake - sure -- My comment was directed to your staff cutting it up into small pieces. for about $6.00 i would the whole strip at your Pape ave. store
MoreNice pastry. We like the chocolate croissant.
I love this place! I always go there for the Greta Garbo, staff is friendly. No Seats!
MoreAbsolutely delicious! The croissants/danishes were larger than the ones you can find in Tim Hortons. We bought the almond danish as well as the chocolate croissant and two rum balls. Fingerlicking good and all 4 cost $8.50. We were on the way to the CN tower and made a small detour and ended up hear....we were not disappointed.
MoreLovely fresh pastries. Bought them for a work meeting. Everyone enjoyed them. Very fresh and flaky.
MoreToo many great pastries to mention. Their a 10.....I love these guys.
I ordered delivery, and everything arrived very well packed. Perfect! It is a happy place for Pastry, lovers out there.♡♡♡
Moretasty pastries, however the chocolate and custard croissant has almost no custard in it; chocolate roulade was good.
MoreThe pastry selection here is amazing and all the ones I tried are fantastic. It's also at a very convenient location to grab pastries enroute your commute. I recommend the Royal Crown and the tarts.
MoreHow I love thee Danish Pastry House! Been frequenting since they opened their first Oakville location way back when. The tastiest, cronchiest, flakiest pastries you’ll ever try. The Union location usually has a line up out the door during morning rush hour but it’s also when the pastry is most fresh. Stopping by on the way home you’ll find a lesser selection on the cusp of selling out. My favourites are the filled croissants and Hej Snegl (it’s round and filled with custard, cinnamon and topped with chocolate). The pastries are on the pricier side generally ranging between $3-4 but well worth it.
MoreSimply the BEST pastries I've ever had. The chocolate croissants are to die for. Flaky, buttery, nice filling and great chocolate drizzled on top. Every time someone brings these into the office they're hero for the day. Impossible to get a picture because I can't wait to devour them!
MoreTart was typical. But I have to say that the shop was famous for the Danish, and maybe my choice was not good🤔
MoreFree samples. Try the Viking Slice. Amazing pastries. Super friendly staff. Down in the Union station Food Court.
MoreBy far the best chocolate croissant I have ever had!!! This place is amazing and if you pass by it on your way to work/home do not hesitate to try one of their fresh baked pastries.
MoreOne of the best pastry shops in downtown, they have amazing Danish pastries, my favourite is the rhubarb tart, it's sweet and savoury. Their Log is good too (Choklade Roulade). Coffee is tasty too, I've tried their latte and it's better than your usual Starbucks.Staff are always friendly and helpful even when they get busy!
MoreNice new pastry place. Quite a varieties of pastry option. I got the viking slice a bit on the sweet side for me.
MoreAbsolutely love Danish Pastry House! Breads are sooooo delicious and healthy! I wanted to keep supporting them during lockdown and was so happy to see Danish Pastry House on UberEats. I ordered a few items and they surprised me with their generosity by adding extra pastries!
MoreThis is BY FAR the best pastry house in the city. I know that I do not stand alone in my recommendation, given the sheer volume of people at the union location every morning. Despite it's business, the queue is always moving quickly, thanks to the effective system they have in place. The staff is polite, well organized and efficient. Their coffee menu is to die for and hands down they make the richest, strongest cappuccino in the city that I constantly dream about. Well priced, good service and excellent quality products. Definitely glad I discovered this gem and HIGHLY recommend.
MoreNice variety of items. Not your typical danish offerings
Wow.Great Danish Pastries.Highly recommended.Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back for more.
MoreI really love this shop and the prices are good. I always try to have something new when I go but sometimes there’s not much left an hour before closing so I get a little sad. Otherwise everything is great!
MoreMy absolutely favorite - The Viking Slice. So yummy! Service and coffee can vary, but for the most part is good.
MoreProduct/Service: 5/5Wide selection of pastries. My favourites are the snails, but on a quest to try every glorious thing in this shop.Location: 5/5Central location. What is more central than Union Station? They also have a shop in Eaton Center.Price: 5/5Very reasonable.Atmosphere: 4/5Typical bakery, small, but everything you need.
MoreLocated in the newly revamped concourse of Union station, this location has become a standard draw for commuters going in and out of Union. Opens bright amd early at 7am and there's always a lineup. Location matches the old school feel of their pastries.Excellent friendly service although no place to sit and sip your coffee with their treats. Still a good pit stop in the mornings.
MoreDelicious variety of pastries with very Dutch sounding names. Great to grab and go when on the run through Union Station.
MorePurchased a few different kind of pastries and loved them all. The pastry was crunchy, light and flakey. Lots of almond paste.. delicious!! Will need to return to try the rest of the pastries!!
MoreAn excellent, fresh, delightful, flaky, delicious indulgence. Don't miss it. And the prices are good, too.
MoreThe pasties are so good here. Love them all!!!
Super friendly staff & great selection of pastry😊
Union stations best kept secret? ...tucked away from the main flow of commuter traffic, this place is well worth the one minute detour to and from your train! Good coffee and delicious pastry, cake and buns. As of 2020-05-29, they are also still open! One of the few places still serving and the only spot to get good coffee. Staff are friendly, too!
MoreThis is a FANTASTIC little place. Great customer service and truly yummy baking. Their Cinnamon Bread is like a giant cinnamon roll with icing on top, and the little Greta Garbo shortbread cookies with raspberry filling are delicious. Check this place out! :)
MoreExtremely disappointed! I went here for the first time to grab some pastries before taking the train home. I ordered the cremeboller and another pastry with custard and almonds (can’t recall the name). After taking a few bites into the cremeboller I realized that it was missing THE CUSTARD. The most important part of the pastry wasn’t even there. I’m very disappointed and do not plan to go here again.
